Core Mechanics and Scoring
The game starts with an empty binary tape at position zero. Each match processes eight codes, each from 0–3. The whole eight-code sequence is equally likely among 65,536 sequences. Code 0 toggles the current cell, 1 moves left, 2 moves right, and 3 exchanges the current and right cell values.
The score is the final count of lit cells. The game uses three distinct scoring modes, each with its own mathematical normalizer to achieve an expected gross return of 96%.
| Mode | Power | Exact Mean |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 1 | 1.0479736328125 |
| 1 | 2 | 1.744384765625 |
| 2 | 3 | 3.367919921875 |
The gross payout is calculated as: 0.96 × captured whole stake × (raw^(selected mode + 1)) / mean[selected mode]. Modes 1 and 2 do not alter which raw scores are zero compared to Mode 0.
Controls and Delivery Sequence
Matches consist of eight practice deliveries, not the standard six-ball over found in traditional cricket. Before each delivery, you choose a "Shot" (0 to 3), which permutes an independent, uniform hidden code. The displayed runs for these shots are 0, 1, 2, or 4.
- Manual Play: You advance through all eight deliveries manually.
- Auto10: Queues whole matches for automated play.
- Stop: Cancels future queued matches but allows the current automated match to complete.
- Sound: Remains available throughout play.
During a captured match, your Stake, Payout Mode, and Refill settings are locked. However, you may change your Shot choice between deliveries.
Mathematical Evidence and Probabilities
The following table presents simulation measurements from one million rounds for each mode. These are supporting observations, not the exact mathematical law.
| Mode | Exact Gross RTP | Measured RTP | Positive Results | Shot Policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0.96 | 96.05234029586488 | 737,103 | Always-zero |
| 1 | 0.96 | 95.8210982426872 | 736,842 | Delivery-index mod four |
| 2 | 0.96 | 96.01194550373324 | 737,253 | Adaptive previous outcome plus delivery mod four |
Expected gross return is 96%. This is not a guarantee of net profit or a prediction for other products. Fractional carry persists across settlement, refill, and reload where the contract specifies.
Wallet and Persistence
This demo uses a virtual wallet with an initial balance of 1000 coins. The balance is stored in the browser's localStorage.
- Restoration: You can manually restore the balance to exactly 1000 only when idle and the balance is below 10. This sets the balance; it does not add coins or automatically replenish.
- Unfinished Rounds: If you reload the page during an unfinished round, it ends without a refund or resume option.
- Persistence: Settled balances persist locally, including zero balances. Fractional carry values persist across settlements.
There is no account login flow, no payment processing, and no cash value for the virtual coins.
Privacy and Storage
The demo uses browser localStorage to store the settled demo balance and fractional carry. This local storage usage does not establish anonymity, nor does it prove that no other personal data are processed or that third parties are not involved.
The page declares Google Fonts resources and https://statinside.com/counter.js with site ID 44, plus a no-JavaScript image at https://statinside.com/pixel.png?id=44 with referrerpolicy="unsafe-url". These declarations do not establish all runtime requests or data processing. The demo stores settled balance and fractional carry in browser localStorage. The absence of account or payment forms does not establish anonymity or an absence of personal-data processing.
Responsible Use and Audience
This guide targets an 18+ audience. This is a policy of the guide, not a claim about local law or an implemented age gate in the demo. Responsible use includes optional pauses and setting personal time or virtual-coin limits. The demo does not clinically train behavior or make losses safe. There are no self-exclusion tools, timers, or account-level blocking mechanisms in this specific demo interface.
Frequently asked questions
How is the score calculated in Field Tape Register?
The score is the count of lit cells on the binary tape after eight codes are processed. The gross payout applies a 0.96 factor, multiplies by the captured stake and the raw score raised to the power of the selected mode plus one, then divides by the exact mean for that mode.
Can I resume an unfinished round if I reload the page?
No. If you reload the browser during an unfinished round, the match ends without a refund or resume capability. Only settled balances persist locally.
How does the manual balance restoration work?
You can manually set the balance to exactly 1000 when you are idle and your balance is below 10. This is a reset, not an addition of coins. Fractional carry values persist across this refill.
