Game Mechanics and Score Function
The game operates on an empty binary tape starting at position zero. Codes toggle the current cell, move left, move right, or swap current and right flags. The score is the final count of lit cells. Each entire eight-code word is equally likely among 65,536 possible words.
The gross payout is determined by the following exact formula:
Gross = 0.96 × captured whole stake × raw^(selected mode + 1) / mean[selected mode]
There are three separately normalized score powers. The exact means for these modes are:
- Mode 0: 1.0479736328125
- Mode 1: 1.744384765625
- Mode 2: 3.367919921875
Powers one, two, and three do not alter which raw scores are zero. The expected gross return is 96%; this is not a guarantee of net profit or a prediction for other products.
Controls, Modes, and Delivery Structure
The demo features specific controls and mode behaviors:
- Stake & Mode: One whole captured stake is used; there are no independent row shares. Stake, payout mode, and refill are locked during the captured match.
- Deliveries: The game consists of eight practice deliveries, not a standard six-ball over. Before each delivery, a Shot0..3 permutes an independent uniform hidden code, displaying runs of 0, 1, 2, or 4.
- Auto & Stop: Auto10 queues whole matches. Stop cancels future rounds only; it does not interrupt the current automated match. Sound remains available throughout.
- Shot Choice: Manual shot choice may change between deliveries, but cannot change within a single delivery.
Mathematical Evidence and RTP
The following table presents the exact expected gross RTP alongside simulation measurements from 1,000,000 rounds for each mode.
| Mode | Exact Gross RTP | Measured RTP | Positive Results | Shot Policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0.96 | 96.05234029586488 | 737,103 | always-zero |
| 1 | 0.96 | 95.8210982426872 | 736,842 | delivery-index-mod-four |
| 2 | 0.96 | 96.01194550373324 | 737,253 | adaptive-previous-outcome-plus-delivery-mod-four |
Fractional carry persists across settlement, refill, and reload. Simulation measurements are supporting sample observations and not the mathematical payout law.
Wallet Persistence and Restoration
The demo wallet has specific persistence rules:
- Initial Balance: 1000 virtual coins.
- Restoration: A manual idle-only restoration is eligible when the balance is below 10. It sets the balance to exactly 1000. This is not automatic replenishment or adding coins.
- Settlement: Settled balances persist locally, including zero. Fractional carry is preserved.
- Reload: An unfinished round ends without refund or resume upon reload. Progress is not resumable across sessions unless explicitly settled.
Privacy and Storage
The following storage facts are observed in this demo:
- Storage: The source uses browser localStorage for settled demo balance and fractional carry. This does not establish anonymity or exclude other processing.
- Third Parties: The template declares a Google Fonts stylesheet. Actual browser request capture is pending; this is not a claim that other requests or processing are absent.
- Account & Payment: There is no demo account flow and no demo payment flow. Virtual coins have no cash value.
The absence of account controls does not prove that no personal data are processed.
Audience and Responsible Use
18+ Audience: This 18+ label is this guide's own intended audience policy, not a claim about local law or an implemented age gate. It is not a statement of local legality.
Responsible Gaming: Users may take optional pauses or set personal time/virtual-coin limits. This demo does not clinically train behavior or make losses safe. There are no account-level blocking, timer, or self-exclusion tools in the interface. For appropriate local qualified help, users should find resources in their jurisdiction.
Frequently asked questions
How is the score calculated in Field Tape Register?
The score is the final count of lit cells on the binary tape after eight codes. The gross payout uses the formula: 0.96 × captured whole stake × raw^(selected mode + 1) / mean[selected mode]. The expected gross return is 96%.
What happens if I reload the page during a round?
An unfinished round ends without refund or resume. Settled balances persist locally, including zero, but progress is not resumable across sessions unless explicitly settled.
Is the 96% RTP guaranteed?
No. The expected gross return is 96%, but this is not a guarantee of net profit or a prediction for other products. Simulation measurements (e.g., 96.05% for Mode 0) are supporting observations, not the exact mathematical law.
